finally won the  battle for access to the ‘Palace letters’ that have been a matter of Importance to all Australians.

This Will now shed new light on the role of the royal family in former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam's sacking in 1975.

from the National Archives Professor Hockings, persistance has paid off in an outstanding and heroic Palace coup.

these 216 letters will now reveal the truth of the controversial DISMISSAL and  shed light on who were involved.

Professor Hocking believed the Queen knew what might happen to the Whitlam government well before it occurred on November 11, 1975.

Australia's greatest constitutional crisis of that time.

The treachery of Kerr is apparent in the archival papers. As In the months before the dismissal, Kerr confided in members of the High Court, legal academics, the Opposition and Prince Charle. making plans, and involving support for his action at the most senior levels.

These critical letters also show Volcanic, Evidence of the Queen's involvement in the 1975 dismissal ,that the Queen breached the central tenet of a constitutional monarchy, that the Monarch is politically neutral and must play no role in political matters. The damage this has done to the Queen, to Kerr, and the monarchy is incalculable.

Professor Jenny Hocking is Research Professor and Australian Research Council Discovery Outstanding Researcher Award (DORA) Fellow in the National Centre for Australian Studies at Monash University. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and the inaugural Distinguished Whitlam Fellow at the Whitlam Institute at Western Sydney University. Jenny is an award-winning biographer, scholar and political commentator and the author of the acclaimed two-volume biography Gough Whitlam: His Time and Gough Whitlam: A Moment in History.

Gough Whitlam, started the dismantling of the Australian Constitution, by changing the Royal Styles and Titles Act  which removed the Queen, this occurred without a legal referendum.
